Acephate 45% + Cypermethrin 5

 Acephate 45% + Cypermethrin 5% is combo-pesticide that acts on Nerve and Muscle of pests. Officially it is recommended for control of Pink bolloworm in cotton. However, unofficially it is being used for control of fall army worm on maize. It is being sold by UPL as Sorter .

Farmers are requested to search this blog for alternative pesticides.

Buprofezin 23.1 + Fipronil 3.85 SC

 Buprofezin 23.1% + Fipronil 3.85% SC is an excellent pesticide formula that has a combination of two active ingredients. One acts on muscle and nerve to control adults whereas the second active ingredient prevents the growth of larvae so that new adults are not formed. It is being traded by Adama as Zohar . This formulation is recommended for the control of brown planthopper in rice. The dose is 1.5 ml/lit and the waiting period is 30 days.
