Acephate 95SG

This is a popular nerve and muscle pesticide. It is being sold as Hunk by TataRallis.  Its recommendation is limited to for control of Yellow stem borer, Brown plan hopper, and leaf folder in rice. The dose is 1-1.2 grams per liter. Pesticide should not be used in the last 30 days of crop life. 

Farmers are requested to search this blog for more efficient alternative pesticides as this overused pesticide may fail in controlling pests moreover may show residue effect.

 Buprofezin 23.1% + Fipronil 3.85% SC is an excellent pesticide formula that has a combination of two active ingredients. One acts on muscle and nerve to control adults whereas the second active ingredient prevents the growth of larvae so that new adults are not formed. It is being traded by Adama as Zohar . This formulation is recommended for the control of brown planthopper in rice. The dose is 1.5 ml/lit and the waiting period is 30 days. Farmers can experiment with this pesticide for control of similar pests in similar crops with help of experts.
