Amongst crowded pesticide products, Bifenazate 22.6 SC is an outstanding formulation. It acts on respiration and is based on contact. Being non-systemic it does not enter in plant and hence does not pose the least danger of residue.
It is a miticide. Makes mites hyperactive. Due to this hyperactivity, mites get tired and die off.
This is an SC formulation and hence needs high precision and demanding machinery set up to manufacture. UPL is marketing this formulation under the brand name, "Floramite"
It is recommended to be used in Rose and Grapes to control two-spotted mite, Tetranychusurticae.
The dose is very low 0.25 ml per liter or 3.75-4 ml in 15 liters.
Farmers may try to use this pesticide in other crops. However, while doing so keep in mind that it acts against mites only.
