This is another excellent combination of two active ingredients acting in two different ways. Buprofezin prevents the growth of larvae whereas acephate causes nerve and muscle breakdown in adult pests.
It is marketed by crystal under the trade name "Record".
Officially it is recommended in only two corps.
In Rice, it controls stem borer, leaf folder, and brown planthopper when sprayed @ 2gm/lit. The waiting period before harvesting is 20 days.
In cotton, it controls thrips, jassids, and mealybugs when sprayed @ 2.5 g/lit. The waiting period for peaking is 15 days.
Farmers can experiment with this formulation for control of the same pests group occurring in other crops with the guidance of an expert.
