Buprofezin 25 SC is an insect growth regulator pesticide. It inhibits the molting of nymphs and larvae, leading to death. It is a novel insecticide for integrated pest management (IPM) and safe for the environment.
This pesticide inhibits the chitin formation of insects. As it hinders the formation of the exoskeleton in the nymphs, it leads to the death of the underdeveloped insects. It not only controls all the nymphal stages of insects but it also reduces the egg-laying capacity of female insect. It is being traded with names Bupro by National Pesticides, Flotis by Bayer, Applaud by Tata Rallis, Phentom by Insecticides India, Apple by Dhanuka, Banzo by Biostadt, Apollo by HPM, Bipimain by Adama, Badshah by Toshi, Tribune by Crysta, Superstart by Anu Products and Machan by Gharda.
- For control of White Fly, Aphids Jassids, Thrips in cotton, its recommended dose is 2 ml/lit
- For control of Yellow Mite in Chilli recommended dose is 0.5-1 ml per liter
- For control of Hopper on Mango, it is recommended to spray each plant 5-15 lit spray containing 2 ml/lit of buprofezin 25 SC
- For control of Melay bugs in Grapes, the recommended dose is 2 ml/lit.
- For Control of Brown, Gray, and White back planthoppers in Rice recommended dose is 2 ml/lit
- For control of Jassids in Okra recommended dose is 0.5-1 ml/lit
