Buprofezin prevents the growth of larvae whereas acephate causes nerve and muscle breakdown in adult pests.  It is marketed by crystal under the trade name "Record". Officially it is recommended in only two corps. In Rice, it controls stem borer, leaf folder, and brown planthopper when sprayed @ 2gm/lit.
